Dr. Brett J. Prate

Dr. Brett Prate graduated with clinical honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. He completed his externship in Ocular Disease at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.

Dr. Prate is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians. He also has a background in research, where he was awarded a state funded grant for his work on "The Effect of Nitric Oxide in Neovascular Glaucoma in Diabetic Rats." 

Dr. Prate has traveled on medical missionaries to third world countries with the group Healing the Children, where he treated eye diseases and provided glasses to impoverished children. He often provides free vision and glaucoma screenings to the local community, in an effort to increase public awareness of eye related health issues.

Dr. Prate frequently gives public presentations on topics such as "Cataract Awareness Month" and "Nutrition for Age-Related Macular Degeneration."
